The Machine of the Jedi
Beautiful childhood memories. Jedi Master Denolm Orr selects the Twi'lek Sa'har as his new student. Source: Bioware At the heart of the history of "disorder" are initially two Jedi. Sa'har and her master Denolm Orr search the temple of Elom after a Holocron, which drives a gigantic machine. As we experienced a little later, the said machine was constructed a long time ago for a purpose - to record the names of power sensitives that the Jedi considered unworthy to take the ways of power. More on that later.
What is the connection between the Jedi Order and the machine? It seems that until recently only the Jedi masters knew from the existence of the temple on ELOM. Do you have to travel to the temple before selecting a student? Or do you access the Holocron data about a direct connection through power? In the trailer we see a strong force field that surrounds the altar with the relic. The cables that hang in the room could be an indication that the entire temple works as a kind of antique transmission system. If the voices, then the sworn circle of Jedi masters can communicate with the Holocron themselves over large distances.
The Holocron and his mysteries
A comprehensive collection of countless names of power-sensitive beings who have rejected the Jedi for different reasons is a great treasure, especially for those who want to use these lost souls as a potential weapon against the Jedi. The Jedi Master Denolm Orr knew about this danger. On Dantooaine came to ears that Darth Malgus knows something about the temple on Elom. If the Holocron falls into the hands of the Sith, it would be a great catastrophe for the entire galaxy. An Sith warrior challenges Sa'har Kateen in the Temple of NUL. Source: Bioware Master Orr probably had no choice when destroying the machine with Holocron. In the video we see that he and his young student Sa'har are the first on site to protect the sanctuary of the temple from intruders. And they just come timely! Because the first villain does not last long. A Sith-Cyborg invades Sa'har into a fight while her master tries to reach the altar with the Holocron.
Betrayal, betrayal, betrayal!
Even if the Sith struggles with only one lightsaber, his armor reminds us strongly to the ornate of the second sister from the blockbuster Jedi: Fall Order. The interior of the temple also resembles the Jedi ruins that can be explored in fall order. Since the makers of the trailer have definitely be inspired by the strong pictures from falling order!
In the duel against the mysterious Sith device Sa'har in trouble. Your master must hurry to help the young Twi'lek. Together you can beat the villain. Just at this moment Darth Malgus appears. The Sith warrior was probably just a vanguard to distract the Jedi duo from Malgus. Master Orr commands his student to destroy the machine and the records.
With his last breath, the Sith warrior Malgus refers to a traitor. Source: Bioware that Darth Malgus plays according to his own rules is not a big surprise. The Sith persecuted already in Vanilla SWTOR (Buy Now) own goals. Later he proved to be a true standout. Each defeat made Malgus only stronger and purposeful. Small Reminder: The Sith has been collecting all sorts of Jedi relics and Holocrons for some time. When attacking Dantoine, Malgus had to have found something that finally led him to the temple on ELOM.
The video is clearly to see how powerful Darth Malgus is. He dominates the duel, his Jedi opponent has trouble parrying the overwhelming attacks, which rattle on him. Sa'har achieves the platform with the altar that drives the machine. Before the Twi'lek can destroy the altar, the relic tears her mind out of reality and she is overwhelmed by her childhood memories. Sa'har activated accidentally the machine and then sinks in trance. A fateful vision
The young Jedi drops her lightsaber and sinks in trance. Sa'har remembers the moment when she was chosen by her master as a Padawan student. However, this review is in strong contrast to the pictures that we saw at the beginning of the trailer. We experience the first exam of Sa'har again, but this time your memories are less cheerful and happy.
Through the Holocron you come back the long-forgotten words of a droid in the meaning. The said droid then asked Master Orr, whether he will take both children. The answer of Orr was cruelly: _ "No. The brother has a faint connection to power." _ Master Orr once took Sa'har with the words _ "The power has chosen you." _ With. But was it really the power that made this election? Or something different? Chaos and the first doubts are sown!
As Orr notes that something is wrong, the Jedi leaves the battlefield and leaves Malgus. In contrast to his counterparty, the Sith can not penetrate the energy field that surrounds the machine as a shield.
Ri'kan, the lost brother
Ri'kan is the brother of Sa'har. The young Twi'lek remains alone, he is chained and scared. Source: Bioware
However, Malgus does not prevent it to provide even more tensions between the Jedi. He takes a contact with Sa'hars Spirit. The SITH feels that it is vulnerable at that moment and speaks: _ "So the Sith and Jedi keep control. By taking some the paths of power and withhold others" _.
This site in the trailer is particularly exciting. Because a few seconds later we see that power in Sa'har's brother (his name Ri'kan) was very strong. When the boy realizes that Orr robbed his little sister and left him Mutterseelenin, he awakens in him the dark side of power. We also see that Sa'hars brother later landed in slavery. Why did Master Orr only took Sa'har and left Ri'kan?
This question now asks Sa'har to her master as her spirit returns to the real world. Orr was able to set Malgus and asks his student to give him the relic immediately. However, Sa'har does not think of the dream of handling Orr the Holocron. The desperate look of the Twi'lek speaks volumes! Sa'har recognizes that she was not chosen by power, but from her master. It was his decision to teach her and leave her brother.
